In May of 2001, Joshua graduated from the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Philosophy. Following his studies at Arizona State, Joshua attended Thomas Jefferson School of Law where he received his Juris Doctor degree in May of 2005.

While attending Thomas Jefferson, Joshua was distinguished for receiving the highest class score in oral advocacy, and was also accepted by Hofstra University School of Law to participate in their international study program hosted in Nice, France. Heavily involved in the study of international criminal and tort law while living in Europe, Joshua involved himself in courses, meetings, and seminars conducted by advocates and judges from the United Nations and other world courts and tribunals.

After returning from Europe, Joshua continued his legal education at Thomas Jefferson, and by invitation, he studied constitutional case law in academic forums led by U.S. Supreme Court Justices Ruth Bader Ginsberg and Antonin Scalia. He also began working as a senior legal intern with the City of San Diego City Attorney's Office, and continued to work as a full time litigation assistant after graduating from law school. Having worked for more than six years with the San Diego City Attorney, his experience included working in criminal and civil prosecution, as well as civil defense litigation assisting with wrongful death and personal injury claims filed against the City.

In early 2009, Joshua and his wife decided to move back to Arizona. In anticipation of relocating, he met the requisite qualifications and was admitted to the Arizona State Bar in October of 2009. Since then, Joshua began working with Hastings and Hastings, PC and has focused his career exclusively toward plaintiff personal injury actions.

In his free time, he enjoys outdoor activities and sports, i.e., football, baseball, basketball, golfing, hiking, and camping. In addition, he is actively involved with his church and enjoys spending time with family and friends.
